1. What Muni Assist is
Muni Assist is a free tool that helps Cape Town residents build grant applications, municipal service issues, and vehicle licence renewals, and download them as ready-to-submit documents. Optionally, you can add a paid caseworker who submits your paperwork and follows up with the City on your behalf.
2. Caseworker help
Adding a caseworker costs a once-off joining fee plus a recurring monthly fee, billed via PayFast. You may cancel at any time from your account — cancelling stops future billing, does not affect cases already in progress, and does not remove access to the free tools.
3. What we do on your behalf
By adding a caseworker, you authorise Muni Assist to submit grant applications, supporting documents, and municipal service requests to the City of Cape Town on your behalf, using the information and documents you provide.
4. Your responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you submit through your account. Providing false information may result in your grant application or municipal case being declined or your caseworker help being suspended.
5. No guarantee of outcome
Muni Assist facilitates and follows up on applications and cases — we don't control municipal decision-making and can't guarantee a grant will be approved or an issue resolved by a specific date.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
